Lóa has a background in cultural mediation and holds a degree in Art History from the University of Iceland. With experience in both formal and informal education settings, she leads DBS’s community programming and local engagement strategy. Her work focuses on accessibility, youth participation, and fostering connections between artists and audiences in the North.

Matteo Ríos — Technical Coordinator
Matteo is an experienced live sound engineer and multimedia technician with a decade of experience in the independent music scene. Originally from Barcelona, he has worked on touring productions, experimental theatre, and electronic music festivals across Europe. At DBS, Matteo oversees technical production, equipment logistics, and sound engineering for performances and recordings.

Sólarlag Kvak — Artist-in-Residence Facilitator
Sólarlag is a curator and writer specializing in time-based media and diasporic narratives. They studied Contemporary Curating at Goldsmiths, University of London, and have curated programs in Reykjavík, Berlin, and Vilnius. At DBS, Sólarlag supports the international residency program, offering mentorship and coordination for visiting artists.
