The LABEL
Manic Pixie Dreamboy Records is an independent label founded in 2019 to release the musical work of Drengurinn Fengurinn.
Since then, it has grown into a small but vibrant roster, including acts like Strákurinn Fákurinn and Cancer Man.
Beyond releasing music, MPD Records also organizes concerts, curates live studio performances, and supports experimental collaborations across media.
Dælan Mikla is a studio tucked inside a disused men’s bathroom in downtown Akureyri.
It’s run by Egill Logi Jónasson — often referred to as the Rick Rubin of Akureyri.
